Accessibility Statement - September 2020

The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Regulations came into force on 23 September 2018 which say that all public sector websites or mobile apps must:

  • meet accessibility standards
  • publish an accessibility statement by September 2020

In order to comply with the new regulations the parish council has;

  1. Checked its website for accessibility problems and
  2. Published its accessibility statement (Above).

Code of Conduct 2021

The council accepted the new Code of Conduct from WDBC on 8th June 2021 and would like the following paragraph, taken from the Local Government Association Model Councillor Code of Conduct, noted;

"Importantly, we should be able to undertake our role as a councillor without being intimidated, abused, bullied or threatened by anyone, including the general public.

This Code has been designed to protect our democratic role, encourage good conduct and safeguard the public’s trust in local government.”
